👉 My Review
Sabatic Sitges, (an Autograph Collection by Marriott) is a luxury hotel located in the coastal town of Sitges, Spain. The hotel features a modern design with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. The hotel offers a complete range of amenities, including 2 swimming pools, a spa, fitness center. There is also a bar & restaurant called Pasatempo that offers Mediterranean cuisine from seasonal and highest quality ingredients.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of activities nearby, such as golf, sailing, and horseback riding. Sabàtic is located a 10 minute walk to the beach and is similarly close to the main attractions and train station. Although if you have lots of luggage I would suggest taking a taxi).About half of the 90 fully equipped suites offer a beautiful terrace with sea views. Each is individually designed and features unique and stylish decor. The rooms are all air-conditioned, and feature WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms with showers.
Guests can also enjoy complimentary tea and coffee, as well as a mini-bar. Some rooms also feature a balcony or terrace. As a Marriott Titanium member, I booked a standard "Garraf" style room, but was upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Junior Suite.
As a nomad, the Junior Suite had more than ample room to relax, get work done, and relax. My room came stocked with a Vermut Sampler (for purchase, but with instructions on how to enjoy and recommended accompaniments), Yoga Mat, and a fridge with plenty of room to store snacks and lunch.
The building is conveniently co-located with a Coprabo Supermarket which I relied on heavily. The location of the hotel is close enough to the city that you can walk to grab dinner, but when I had alot of work on my plate the Caprabo was a lifesaver as I could hop in and out very quickly.
Absolutely, this has been a go-to property to stay in when Barcelona is crowded and nightly rates are high.
In one word: Amazing. Do not expect a massive style spread like you might find at some of the higher end resorts in Southeast Asia. However, it was considerably better than many breakfasts I’ve eaten in Europe. I wish I had taken a photo to share, so apologies for my written description of what was included:
There were 3 main areas:
The size of the rooms. They were what I would consider “massive” for a European hotel. Meanwhile the pricepoint was considerably cheaper than anything in Barcelona or Valencia (approximately €120 per night with taxes and fees).
I received the standard benefits including free breakfast. My status was recognized at checkin and I was given a nice upgrade.
Unlike many Marriott brand properties, the difference in size between basic (Garraf) rooms and the suites was not as vast. Don’t expect a palatial 900 square meter room. The 484 square meter junior suite might actually have been more room than I needed.
If you want to be in the heart of the party, this property is not the one for you. On the other hand, if you value a place with amazing service, great ambiance, and a relaxed vibe where “Saturday lives” then you are making the right choice. I don’t think I will visit Barcelona again without giving serious consideration to this property.
